I started this blog hoping I would post on a regular basis (which to me means at least every few days). So far not so good.I should be posting more since I had an unfortunate loss of employment. Some of you might have heard about the galleria mall in Roseville and it's untimely "accident". Long story short a large portion of the mall was severely damaged by a fire and will have to be demolished and rebuilt. I worked in a retail clothing store which lost everything. I hope to one day return to work for the same store, but estimates for the rebuild are between 1-2 years.
Needless to say, I have been thinking more about my sewing, crafting and thrifting. The felted scarf in the photo above is something I made last year. It was intended to be a garland for a village of hand crafted houses, but somehow I ended up wearing it. I cannot believe how many times I was stopped and asked about it. I have since made a few and listed them in one of my etsy shops.
Hopefully with the additional time on my hands I will continue crafting and posting more often.
